Global BSOD
The CrowdStrike incident is more than a temporary technical glitch; it is a critical wake-up call for enhancing cybersecurity frameworks. By adopting rigorous testing environments, phased deployments, and robust disaster recovery protocols, organizations can strengthen their defenses against such catastrophic failures, ensuring reliability and trust in the digital era.At Action1, we embody this commitment by proactively maintaining high security and operational standards to preempt the risk of IT outages. - From Action 1 CEO.
I like to point to the fact that I had sounded similar alarms in the past. Initially inside the US government apparatus. Later on LinkedIn, Reddit, and major news outlets. Turns out, no one wants to tell my story.
So now, the world gets to experience my story. But it will get worse from here. and we may or may not recover.
What people fails to understand with the CrowdStrike failing is how all system suffers or will suffer that failing. It is not the question of IF. but a question of When. When it does fail, what will you do about it.
Look at it this way, not the computers. Look at the global operating system, the US of A, the UN, the talking heads, the PhD, the think tanks, the Research Institutions, the foundations, all the well paid and not so well paid apparatus of government. It is Essentially a CrowdStrike type of entity. responsible for a broad range of tasks and duty.
The task of keeping peace, and putting down rogue actors. Soon the USA is the rogue actor, and the world is facing a catastrophic failure. A BSOD that has no means to reset, no means to reinstall. What recovery system are in place? Which organizations can strengthen the international order when the USA goes rogue? How do the world ensure reliability and trust in the system that the world will be building?
This lesson was outlined in the founding document of the USA. Government will need to be changed at some point. Better that it be changed through a voting process, than through a bloody process. Here we are. That bloody process.
If we do come out of this bloody process. What will we do differently?
