When Should You Build Settlers and Expand
To put things simply, it is best to expand early in Civ 6, and players should prioritize getting their first Settler out as soon as they have a Scout, some level of defense force, and potentially a Gold-purchased Builder. This timing should align fairly closely with the Capital reaching the two Population that is required to produce a Settler, and that is especially true on lower difficulty levels where fewer early combat units are needed.

From there, players have some wiggle room before building a second Settler, and this time frame can be a good moment to erect a Monument, grab another Unit, or even construct a first District inCiv 6 (pending what that District is). In general, fans should look to have this intermediate activity resolved by around turn 25 or 30, at which point it is advisable to get the second Settler into production.
Your Build Order after your Capital is Settled
Scout – exploring is key in the beginning for tribal villages, city states, civs, and good settle locations. Sometimes you might even want to start with 2 scouts but stick with 1 for now.
Settler – as soon as you hit 2 population you want to get your first settler out. Having 2 starting cities really helps you build the early infrastructure and units that you need.
Builder – once you have 2 or 3 pop you want a builder to improve 3 tiles so that you are working optimum tile yields. It also boosts craftsmanship which has the agoge card which is very important early.
Slinger – an early ranged unit for defense against barbarians, but more so that you get the boost to archery so you can then upgrade the slinger. Archers are key to early defense and expansion so you want to unlock them quickly.
Late game strategies in Civilization 6
Devastating military units, astounding scientific breakthroughs, awe-inspiring religious wonders and must-see tourist hotspots characterise the late game in Civilization 6. If you’ve been working towards a Scientific Victory, the race is now on to research Rocketry for the dedicated Spaceport district it unlocks. Be aware of the any aggressive leaders who are already displeased or have been overtly threatening up to this point. The military units that the late game brings, not to mention the threat of nuclear warfare, casts a long shadow over attempts at more peaceful victory types and so a Defensive Pact with a trustworthy leader is a useful deterrent to would-be warmongers.

2024 would be a late-game strategy. Expansion is not as important as it was during the colonial era. Winners are dictated by scientific breakthroughs, awe inspiring wonders and tourism.
Ofcourse you have to watch out for those aggressive leaders who are threatening. You may have to resort to a military victory.
