A look at yesterday US vs the Rest

  1. Do the japanese believe that a United States military withdrawal from the western pacific would result in a renewed outbreak of hostilities in Korea and expose Japan to the risk of involvement?

Mr Fujiyama:

While I admit that the animosity between north and s korea threatens constanstly to flare into a new war, i do not believe that a United States military …. would precipitate a war. nor would its presence prevent a war.

If conditions for war exists, then it will be resolved or war will follow.

  1. Would the withdrawal of American forces result in Japanese rearmament, including nuclear armament?

Mr. Fujiyama: Article IX of the Japanese Constitution, the peace clause, has taken deep root in the hearts of the Japanese people. The majority by far have a fundamental antipathy to rearmament, particularly to nuclear armament. I cannot conceive of Japan’s rearming beyond the level of a self defense force. A few Japanese do advocate rearmament, but when the Vietnam War ends and tension in East Asia falls off as a consequence, I confidently expect the protestations to die down to an insignificant murmur.

  1. Do the other Asian nations trust the Americans militarily more than they do the Japanese?

Mr. Fujiyama: I would not attempt to assess the degree of distrust the nations of Asia feel toward Japan and the United states. To put it bluntly, neither nation enjoys the trust in Asia. The people of both countries would do well to join in efforts to improve their image among the asians.

During the nuclear meltdown incident, something that surface and quickly vanished was the report of the quantity of nuclear waste that was stockpiled in Japan–nuclear weapons and nuclear energy goes hand in hand. As apparent, Japan has increased its armament. They can cite whatever concerns they will cite, but the fact is they have rearmed. Going Nuclear has been foiled, so that is out. If they had planned to secretly stockpile material for nuclear weapons, no one had mentioned it. i like to think they did plot a long and strategic path to reach nuclear power without the US knowing.

The US has always has a bigger ego than its productivity. Since WW2 economy, it had been busy enjoying its wealth left by their forefathers. Productivity had been outsourced to Japan-Taiwan-Korea-China-Thailand-Vietnam-Malaysia and maybe Burma tomorrow. Why not have all of them rise at the same time. We do not need that many people getting out of poverty, otherwise where will we get cheap labor. It would be entirely better for US to keep the world poor and rotate who gets to be our model minority.

Do the other nation trust US? well only stupid Zelensky would trust the US. Most nation do not trust any nation. A little sense of distrust goes a long way in keeping people honest. Not to say that we should spy and invade the privacy of our allies (Edward Snowden and the NSA), but to say that vigilant has its place.

Now with the past treatment of Asian by White Americans in America and outside American. You should really dig up as much details about the battles between the USAF and SSgt Khanh Pham between 2002-2013, and see how many times and how many white people tried to stab him to death, and how management swept it all under the rug. I classifies it as an existential threat to Asians inside and outside of America.

Up until 2008, America has the privilege of not working but eating through the power of printing money for the entire world. Every nation on the planet were forced to carry the debt of Americans except for about 5 countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, ??). It is easy to be a nice person when you have so much food that you have to spend money to reduce your weight. When there is only on happy meal on the table and 100 mouths wants to eat, which 1 will eat and which 99 will die of starvation? You are not thinking the white man going to cut off his flesh and feed the other 99 like in the parable of Buddha feeding the starving animals now are you?

When reality hits, the truth really hurts. Human has a common traits across all culture and all countries. When it comes to saving us or them, it is going to be us vs them. The day were all of humanity considers all humanity as us, is still not in the horizon. mabye 1,000 years? Not according to Isaac Asimov. Even in 1,000 years, human attitudes will keep this ugly part. Us vs them.
