2018 VA data showed the number of veteran suicide rates included active duty as well as veteran.

The report showed the total was 20.6 suicides every day, which of those were 16.8 veterans and 3.8 active-duty service members, guardsmen and reservists. That could amount to 6,132 veterans and 1,387 service members who died by suicide in one year.

What most data scientists will miss is data can no longer be there because the source is dead.

On the billion-dollar money laundering case that came to light in August 2023, the Government said 10 of the offenders have been sentenced in court and had their assets seized. On the 1MDB case, the Government said it took “robust actions” against banks and individuals that failed to discharge their anti-money laundering obligations. This included the closure of local units of Swiss banks Falcon Private Bank and BSI Bank, financial penalties imposed on eight banks, and lifetime bans on six individuals.
On Keppel Offshore and Marine’s corruption case in Brazil, the Government said this was addressed in Parliament in February 2023. Full payments of fines were made to the Brazilian authorities, and Seatrium, the merged entity of Keppel Offshore and Marine and Sembcorp Marine, is currently in discussions with the public prosecutor on a deferred prosecution agreement.
On the Wirecard fraud scandal, the Government said this took place in Germany. But on Singapore’s part, financial penalties were imposed on four financial institutions found to have inadequate anti-money laundering controls. Former Singapore-based Wirecard employees have also been sentenced to jail for criminal breach of trust.
Finally, on Singapore-based global commodity trader Trafigura, which is facing up to US$1.1 billion (S$1.45 billion) in losses over a Mongolian oil scandal, the Government said it will take action against the company should it conduct illicit activities here.

The Government also cited the case involving former transport minister S. Iswaran. The 62-year-old was sentenced to 12 months’ jail on Oct 3 for accepting gifts as a public servant and obstructing justice.

When one country seeks to destroy the other country, it no longer declares war. It now declares sanction. I am no stranger to these tactics, even though I have never owned a country. So what is this rise of the global south. Who started it? Where, When was it started? Who is still perpetuating this framing of the global south.

I used to have zero email here. I started looking for a job about October 2012. 10 years later, I am somewhat convinced that it was a useless effort for the most part. LinkedIn was also started with the same intention to find a job, and it was 99% useless for that purpose.

The fall of any organization can always be anticipated. It is just that many people are incapable of looking passes their nose. But when you do, you can see which part is not working. If you marry the spirit of your generation, you will be a widower in the next.

Inside Hamas’s intelligence: How did they know so much about us on the way to October 7th The intelligence success of Hamas stands in complete contradiction to the blindness that has blinded Israel In recent years, the IOF, the Mossad and the Shin Bet have begun to recognize an awakening in Hamas in all that concerns the field of intelligence gathering. As mentioned in Israel, they knew that Hamas had the ability to penetrate network cameras, but it was only after entering Gaza that the enormous scope of this intelligence project was revealed. No matter how polite and pleasant and accommodating a man may be, none of us dare to deal with him if we suspect “false weights and measures.” Strict honesty, not only lies at the foundation of all success in life (financially), but in every other respect. Uncompromising integrity of character is invaluable. It secures to its possessor a peace and joy which cannot be attained without it—which no amount of money, or houses and lands can purchase. A man who is known to be strictly honest, may be ever so poor, but he has the purses of all the community at his disposal—for all know that if he promises to return what he borrows, he will never disappoint them. As a mere matter of selfishness, therefore, if a man had no higher motive for being honest, all will find that the maxim of Dr. Franklin can never fail to be true, that “honesty is the best policy.”

Modest Proposal for 2024

It’s so much easier to point to a problem than to find a solution for it. Especially if that problem is de-dollarization.

Here is a proposal, based on the philosophy of the shortest path, in conjunction with the path of least resistance.

The fact of the matter is the United States dollar is supposed to crash. It’s not a question of if it will. but when will it? If that is the case, would it be reason enough to sit the gang down, and find the shortest path to where it should be?

Peer Pressures

When I was growing up, many or all of my teachers tried to explain that peer pressure is trash. To not cave into peer pressure, and to stand up for principles and good reasons.

James Sexton was holding a live stream today, to hang out with his fan, and was approached with the question of following tradition or not. He simply cited, tradition is just peer pressure by dead people.
