The textbooks say land, labor, capital. They got the last one wrong — nobody has capital. Capital is borrowed. This old model no longer has any land to sit on.
So here is the 2026 revision: Land, Labor, and Lenders. The new economic utopia.
Land: locked behind prices no wage can climb.
Labor: gigged, automated, or absent.
Lenders: the one factor of production that always shows up. Every month. With interest.
The old dream was to command all three. The new deal is to be happy about owning nothing, doing nothing, and owing everything — landless, laborless, lendersfull.
Welcome to the brave new economy.
